Several websites show how inexpensive yet rewarding electronic field trips can be. There you will find a cost anaylsis of several field trips. MSU's site also makes several points regarding the pros and cons of this kind of distance learning. Here there seems to be a consensus… like educators, not all educational programs are created equal. What your students will learn... definitely depends on who is delivering the message.
